Cyclone IV Trekking Trailer

The Cyclone IV Trekking bike trailer is the fourth generation of the award-winning Cyclone. Cyclone trailers have traveled all over the world on bike trips and expeditions. Due to its robustness, very low rolling resistance and quick conversion to a shoulder bag, the Cyclone IV is the perfect trailer for any bike trip with luggage.

It is available in two versions: one for bicycles with rear wheels from 16 to 20 inches and one for bicycles with rear wheels between 26 and 29 inches.

It is a two-wheeled trailer, so it remains balanced on its own, and does not affect the behavior of the bicycle. You can park the bike with the trailer attached because it will not strain the bike or cause it to tip over. With the tow bar attached to the rear hub, your bike is free to carry its own luggage or a child seat.

Although the Cyclone folds into a very small space, it is capable of carrying a volume of 100 liters and 40 kg of weight. The bag opens along its entire perimeter for maximum accessibility to its interior. It uses a 10mm YKK zipper with two ends that can be closed with a padlock.

The TIG welds of the axle supports ensure a correct and firm attachment of the wheels to the frame, even with heavy loads and high speeds. The wheels are manufactured with industrial grade bearings, ensuring minimum rolling resistance and maximum safety.

When the wheels are inserted into the rear axle carriers, the Cyclone IV can be used as a walking trailer. In this way, considerable distances can be covered even with the trailer fully loaded.

When transporting the Cyclone by train, tow-bar and wheels can be detached with a twist of the hand, which visually leaves only a big duffle bag. The optional wheel cover attaches the wheels to the duffle bag, the tow-bar can easily be stored inside. The shoulder strap and the two big handles make it easy to lift.

The Cyclone IV comes with a rain cover. The Cyclone rain cover is a lightweight solution to keep your trailer and its contents dry and clean. At only 150 grams, this small package will always find a place in the huge Cyclone bag. When a shower comes, the cover is attached in seconds and securely velcroed around the tow-bar connector. Many people leave it on all day, no matter the weather, as its protection against dirt is just as much appreciated.

The hitch fits on virtually any bike, whether with dropout or fixed rear axle and is made of stainless steel. It can be ordered separately to make more 'Cyclone-compatible' bikes. The tow bar can be detached in seconds. This requires only one hand, so the other hand can hold the bike. Feels safe, when your kid is still in the child carrier of your bike.

As with all Radical Design products, all materials used in the manufacture of the Cyclone are available separately. This means that if you have a small accident with your trailer, it can be repaired at Radical Design.
