Cyclone IV Chubby Trailer
The Chubby trailer has been specially designed for use with compact folding bikes. It uses the same technology as the Cyclone Trekking and Cyclone Cargo trailers. This version is wider and shorter than the standard Cyclone and features a padded bag. The wheels on the Chubby are the same size as the wheels on your folding bike.
Available in 5 versions: Brompton, Birdy, Airnimal, Tern Verge X and 26 to 29 inch bikes. Each version has its own wheel size and trailer anchor.
With the Chubby you can travel by plane with your bike safely stored in the trailer bag. Upon arrival you only need to take out the bicycle, store the luggage in the trailer and hook the Chubby to your bicycle to travel comfortably with its 100 liters of volume.
The Cyclone IV Chubby is a two-wheeled trailer, so it always remains horizontal without affecting the behavior of the bicycle that tows it. In addition, it allows you to carry luggage on your bicycle under normal conditions.
Once at home, the Chubby stores in very little space once the wheels and trailing arm are removed. In motion, it supports 100 liters of cargo volume and a weight of 40 Kg.
The bag opens from back to front to maximize accessibility to its interior and features a sturdy YKK zipper with two padlock-friendly closures. TIG welds of the trailer frame ensure a strong and secure wheel connection, even at high speeds and with heavy loads. The wheels are equipped with industrial-type sealed bearings, which ensures minimum rolling resistance and provides total reliability.
When the wheels snap into the rear inserts, the Cyclone IV Chubby can be used as a walker trailer. In this way, long distances can be covered even with a well-loaded trailer.
For transport by train, the wheels and the towing arm can be detached with an easy and comfortable gesture of the hand, revealing a normal travel bag. The towing arm can be easily stored inside, and the shoulder strap and two large handles allow it to be moved comfortably.
The Cyclone IV Chubby comes supplied with a rain cover, a lightweight solution for keeping the trailer and its contents dry and clean. It only weighs 105 grams and there will always be room for it in the trailer bag. And when a downpour catches you by surprise, you can place it in seconds. In addition, its bright yellow color gives you good additional visibility if you want to leave it on at all times.
The anchoring system can be attached to practically any bicycle. It can be ordered separately as an accessory in case you want to be able to transport your trailer with different bicycles. The trailing arm releases in seconds and can be done with just one hand.
As with all Radical Design products, all materials used in the manufacture of the Cyclone are available separately. This means that if you have a small accident with the trailer, you have the material to repair it or they can do it at the factory.
